A Hock brace provides firm support to lower & upper part of Hock joint and strengthen the surrounding muscles . Applying pressure to surrounding muscles surface to maintain posture, Manage Hyperextension of Hock joint, provide correction from or prevent progression of a deformity.

Description

The Dog Hock brace is designed to fit and achieve the natural anatomical angle of the hock to prevent hyperextension tarsal joint which is generally most common in Saint Bernard, American Husky and in some of large breeds in India.

Brace is useful in tarsal joint instabilities , injuries of tarsal ligaments/ tendon, Limping in hind leg with painful ankle, osteoarthritis of tarsal joint, Degenerative changes Disease of tarsus Joint, Achilles Tendon injuries stabilization and immobilization of the Hock joint.

The dog Hock brace can be worn during the day time. Compulsory at time of standing or walking and taken off at night. It is advisable if we consider to remove brace after max 2-3 hours of continuous wearing for a short period of time 30-45 minutes.
