Uses : To support and immobilizes the Hip in neutral position, Sling provide non weight bearing on an affected hindlimb. Sling is a non-weight-bearing sling applied on the pelvic hind limb segment to protect the hip joint after injury. its a binding technique used to stabilize a dislocated hip joint, Management of Acetabular, Femoral Head and Neck and certain Femoral Fractures.

Description

Ehmer Sling is one of the most famous & useful type of slings used in orthopedic veterinary medicine, The Ehmer Sling provide non weight bearing on an affected hindlimb. Sling is a non-weight-bearing sling applied on the pelvic hind limb segment to protect the hip joint after injury. its a binding technique used to stabilize a dislocated hip joint, Management of Acetabular, Femoral Head and Neck and certain Femoral Fractures. The configuration of customize adjustable fabric with Velcro wrap allow vet to maintain require resting angle, manipulation of hind limb & reduces the movement of the injured leg, preventing further injury and allowing it to heal faster. To apply an Ehmer sling correctly, flex the leg so that it’s held close to the body, then Velcro tape around the bottom portion of the leg and up over the abdomen under supervision of vet. Veterinarians use this special binding technique for a wide range of conditions and reasons.
